About the authors
Russ Cohen hosts a hockey show on XM Satellite Radio, writes for NHL publications and is a founder of the Sportsology network.

John Halligan (1941-2010) spent 24 years with the New York Rangers as Public Relations Director, Business Manager and VP of Communications. He is the author of three previous books about the team: NEW YORK RANGERS: SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS, NEW YORK RANGERS: IMAGES OF SPORTS and GAME OF MY LIFE: NEW YORK RANGERS.

Rangers Trade Scott Gomez for Chris Higgins

The Rangers have acquired Smithtown, NY native Chris Higgins, defenseman Ryan McDonagh, defenseman Pavel Valentenko and defenseman Doug Janik from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Scott Gomez, forward Tommy Pyatt and defenseman Michael Busto.
