Rangers Add Brashear

The Rangers have signed free agent forward Donald Brashear. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The veteran winger spent last season with the Washington Capitals and led the team with 119 penalty minutes. He had one goal and four points in 63 games. In 989 career games with Montreal, Vancouver, Philadelphia and Washington, he has 85 goals and 204 points. Brashear has also racked up 2,561 penalty minutes.

Brashear will fill the enforcer role left vacant with the departure of Colton Orr, who signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
